Kennedy Uzoka, B.Sc., MBA, current Group Managing Director/CEO at United Bank for Africa Plc.

Prior to his appointment, he was Deputy Managing Director/CEO UBA Africa, managing the Group’s country subsidiaries across 18 countries in Africa as well as supervising 3 key strategic support areas in Digital Banking, Information Technology and Personal Banking.

Kennedy, a multiple awards winner brings a unique set of experience to the management team as one of the few members that have functioned in both front office and back office roles at very senior levels. He was at various times Head, Strategy& Business Transformation of UBA Group, Regional Bank Head, South Bank; Group Director, Resources; Group Human Resources Director and later Executive Director, Resources.

Before the merger of Standard Trust Bank with UBA Plc., he also functioned as Regional Director South-East; Vice President Northern Zone; Chief Marketing Officer-FCT, Chief Marketing Officer, Lagos and later Managing Executive Officer all at legacy Standard Trust Bank. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School in Boston, USA and the International Institute of Managing Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

He is happily married with children.
